As of January 2017, Florida residents with certain qualifying conditions have been able to seek a physician recommendation for a medical marijuana card. Additionally, Amendment 2 has greatly expanded the list of medical conditions that are similar in class and characterization to the original qualifying conditions.

ACCORDING TO FLORIDA’S AMENDMENT 2, AN EXPANDED LIST OF Qualifying CONDITIONS MAY BE ELIGIBLE FOR A MEDICAL MARIJUANA RECOMMENDATION, INCLUDING:

Additionally, Amendment 2 allows physicians to certify patients for a medical cannabis recommendation after diagnosing them with “other medical conditions of the same kind or class or comparable to those enumerated.” These may include:
